For me the format of taking notes this way quickly is just what I need, while on the job or busy etc.
But if I’m taking important notes, then sometimes I need to be able to view and edit these in a better format than the chat and definitely not locked to my phone.
I would request much more powerful and flexible export options. Exporting to PDF even? More easily sharing photos or messages directly from the notes.
Something that can quickly copy all text and photos to another note or text format.
I was looking for an app for a suitable logging pomodoro timer, but I found Tetrify by a comment on Reddit. I make lists and tasks on Discord all the time and this app would've been amazing for more if I knew about it sooner, and the UI is very pleasant
Does the Tetrify team consider a time-related logging feature either within Tetrify or through a separate app?
I currently use Focused Work to log timed sessions and to track how much time I'm using for studying
Sample apps that I find appropriate to the logged PD genre:
These apps have flexible timers in general and doesn't necessarily need to be called PD timers. The most important feature that these apps do that work on the groundwork of the PD technique is that you can document what the time was used for and there are "statistics" or a logbook/history of your sessions.
What would Tetr be able to to that is unique to Tetr for the logged-time functionality?
Do you know how people would throw all their school papers and books into their backpacks without organizing it and only open it again when they need something? In Tetr, you can throw things into the void, disorganized. Maybe there are some things you will never at look again, but you know it is there. Tetr doesn't require organization and you can "spit" your brain out in their appropriate spaces while also being aware of where your brain had went.
Expected time-logging features:
Being able to name intent/title of task of the session
After a session, the total amount of time of focus is summed
Special considerations:
Some QoL features-- such as app or website-blocking-- are also important to working using PD method, and can also be a feature to accomplishing tasks, but may not be thematically fitting or unsuitable for the nature of Tetr.
Implementation of statistics (to the extent that the sample apps do it) can also be not thematically fitting without a dedicated statistics page or highly simplified statistics as a robot text response
Be able to text with a person as for example your partner or your roommates - being able to let them know what they need to do - or even better group-chats for planning, imagine you’re doing a weekend out in the woods with 5 people, you can assign different things to do for each person as a form of chat and they also have a quick to do list created as a temporary space that will disappear once the group-chat is ended/closed this way you can talk about the trip but also do to do lists which can either be assigned by the person writing them or if it isn’t assigned to anyone someone can decide to assign it to themselves by themselves. this feature can be shipped as a private chat and group-chat the group-chat will also have its own space assigned to it that goes like the group-chat
to this we can also add the option to press on the to do task and be taken into the conversation where the to do list was written to get context if needed or simply tick it off and have it marked as done but no disappear - this should also be encrypted end to end but I think this would be an awesome addition to this app potentially making it the best app for to do lists routines and everything in between to ever exist - thank me later (I know this will be a hell to make I can already imagine, I know it won’t be easy but it would be amazing) you can do this as a whoever creates the group to have to be premium but not required to be premium in order to join the group because then it would suck big time to make my friends join and have to pay for the premium membership just to plan a weekend gateway or whatever it would be making more sense to use to complicated method of having to do it manually - or make it free for all if you want everyone to benefit about it - choice is yours
I have ADHD and I will sometimes see the reminder and instantly forget that I just saw it. I am constantly setting alarms along with Tetr and other app reminders. The ability to also set an alarm to go off at the same time would be great. Whether that’s integration with the iOS alarm or within Tetr. Would also help if I’m not near my phone and don’t y to message chime.
Cheers
