There is no real difference between Notes and Journal other than their configuration. The chat categories are more like templates (eventually that's how that will work), they can all be converted into each other. You can even change the "Mode" from Chat Behavior to make them more like to-dos for example. tetrify is designed to be its own app, mainly to allow for stuff like checkboxes inside messages, multiple text yourself chats, greater customisation, etc. SMS input might be possible eventually but that’s far on the roadmap. SMS is also a lot less secure... so it's not exactly something worth encouraging for private notes.
