tetrify is designed to be its own app, mainly to allow for stuff like checkboxes inside messages, multiple text yourself chats, greater customisation, etc. SMS input might be possible eventually but that’s far on the roadmap. SMS is also a lot less secure... so it's not exactly something worth encouraging for private notes.

There is no real difference between Notes and Journal other than their configuration. The chat categories are more like templates (eventually that's how that will work), they can all be converted into each other. You can even change the "Mode" from Chat Behavior to make them more like to-dos for example. Hey, we do not offer one-time options since the main planned perk of Pro is about synchronizing across devices which has reoccurring server costs. It's worth noting it's still free to create infinite messages across multiple spaces for free; We will never limit local messages. As we slowly roll-out sync, we hope to make the free experience even better. @pennywrites Right now (confusingly) the accounts don't really tie to your data at all so it really isn't meant to affect much. All your data is stored on your device and doesn't go anywhere. I'm looking into introducing encrypted iCloud Backups which should make it easier to backup your data. That said, the latest update fixed the bug with the not being able to export a backup. Can you try exporting your data and recovering it on Mac (or somewhere else)? This should let you access a copy of your data on your Mac.

As another note, you should make sure Chat Behavior has Mode set to Tasks and Use Deadlines and Reminders is turned on.
